Vs. a series of unintelligible grunts

Hey, dudeskees.

I guess its about time I tried to let you fellas know whats up.
I’m done working on Johnny test for the time being. Fore those of you who didn’t know, I’ve been done with Delilah and Julius for a few months now. Not even 3 hours before I was finished up on my Johnny contract, I was informed that we landed another contract on the busy town cartoon, based off those books by Richard Scarey. In other words, I’m still in action for another month at least. That, and I’ve got a few scenes from a Meligrove band music video to keep me occupied.

I plan on taking some time to reacquaint myself with my guitar and keyboard to work on some music once I have some time to sit around and do nothing. That and kick it up a notch at the gym. And put a week aside to go visit my brother and show whistler whats up. Also Truro. I plan on doing a lot of things.

This is the first time in a while that ive felt an urge to write anything, so I figured I’d make the best of it. I update the other blog a tad more regularly, so as always, I’m gonna tell you to go check that out at http://drawingsthatmove.blogspot.com.

But that’s not where the plugs end. No sir. Or Ma’am.

Do you like podcasts? Can you stand the sound of my voice for a while? Do you want to be one of the tens upon tens of people who are getting a piece of a web phenomenon? If so, then you should check out the podcast I’m involved with called dear internets. You can find it at http://diwcmw.blogspot.com. Also, you can find it on itunes.

There’s also another podcast that I don’t have any connection to, but it’s awesome anyway. It’s called “Uhh Yeah Dude”, and it stars Jonathan Laroquette and Seth Romatelli. You can find it at http://www.uhhyeahdude.com, or on itunes.

Can I get a cowabunga?

wow, just saying cowabunga makes me want to draw mike next. we'll see whats up later i guess.

this drawing made me think that with a big enough budget, a ninja turtles series could theoretically be done in flash. then i realized with a big enough budget, you could also theoretically make a ninja turtles series through interpretive dance. it doesn't mean it'll be any good. Well, not entertaining in the way it was intended. I don't quite know where I'm going with this.
Erm, long story short, go check out the other blog if you haven't yet. the address is on any post ive made within the past decade.

So tired. Bah, humbug.

eh.

It seems to me that livejournal is starting to lose some of the spunk it had back in its golden days. I never really feel like updating anymore, unless its to plug the other blog when I update that one, kinda like what i'm doing now. Im not gonna neglect this one entirely, but the other one is definitely getting more love. ive been updating that one every couple days lately, so thats cool. hopefully I can keep that up. Also, I hope that this place will seem inviting to me once I find the drive to make a spectacle of my life's inner workings again. the other blog address is http://drawingsthatmove.blogspot.com

To let you know what im talking about, heres my best attempt at a real post right now:
I got a new guitar, which im hoping will be a good enough incentive to start playing regularly and make more music. Also, work is coming along good. Busy, but good.

Anyway, thats all for now.
Have a good one, folks.

I love my blogs like they were my own children, so keeping to that spirit, I'm going to get this one to tell you how I love the other one more. Much more.

I kid, I kid. they're both pretty mediocre.
Like I said before, I just need to update more often. I did today, though, so I guess that counts.

Check it out at http://drawingsthatmove.blogspot.com.

On a seperate note, What the balls is Natal day celebrating?

I havent posted anything in a while, and i can't think of anythiong else to write, so I guess I'll share this with you guys.

so, i was stumbling across the internet, hangin around with Matt, and we came across this relationship test, and there were 40 questions that you answered on a scale of 1-9. Before you started, and before i knew what it it was, a little dialog box comes up and and tells you to enter a name. Me, in my legendary, unparalleled maturity, wrote "the cock", which made for some awesome questions:

1. 1 am actively supportive of the cock 's well-being.
2. I have a warm relationship with the cock .
3. I am able to count on the cock in times of need.
4. the cock is able to count on me in times of need.
5. I am willing to share myself and possessions with the cock .
6. I receive considerable emotional support from the cock .
7. I give considerable emotional support to the cock .
8. I communicate well with the cock .
9. I value the cock greatly in my life.
10. I feel close to the cock .
11. I have a comfortable relationship with the cock .
12. I feel that I really understand the cock .
13. I feel that the cock really understands me.
14. I feel that I can really trust the cock .
15. I share deeply personal information about myself with the cock .
16. Just seeing the cock excites me.
17. I find myself thinking about the cock frequently during the day.
18 My relationship with the cock is very romantic.
19 I find the cock to be very personally attractive.
20. I idealize the cock .
21. I cannot imagine another person making me as happy as the cock does.
22. I would rather be with the cock than with anyone else.
23. There is nothing more important to me than my relationship with the cock .
24. I especially like physical contact with the cock .
25. There is something almost magical about my relationship with the cock .
26. I adore the cock .
27. I cannot imagine life without the cock .
28. My relationship with the cock is passionate.
29. When I see romantic films and read romantic books, I think of the cock .
30. I fantasize about the cock .
31. I know that I care about the cock .
32. I am committed to maintaining my relationship with the cock .
33. Because of my commitment to the cock , I would not let other people come between us.
34. I have confidence in the stability of my relationship with the cock .
35. I would not let anything get in the way of my commitment to the cock .
36. I expect my love for the cock to last for the rest of my life.
37. I will always feel a strong responsibility for the cock .
38. I view my commitment to the cock as a solid one.
39. I cannot imagine ending my relationship with the cock .
40. I am certain of my love for the cock .
41. I view my relationship with the cock as permanent.
42. I view my relationship with the cock as a good decision.
43. I feel a sense of responsibility toward the cock .
44. I plan to continue my relationship with the cock .
45. Even when the cock is hard to deal with, I remain committed to our relationship.

one of these days, i'll write something pertinent, but until then, i'll just focus on trying to put something other than videos.
I have to keep it fresh, and keep my 3 readers happy.

ripple

I dont know if this works, and im not sure if you guys have heard of it, but its worth a shot to try visiting here:

http://ripple.org/

Its completely free, and it apparently helps charitable organizations. I'm not trying to peddle anything, and you dont have to join anything, you just click a button once and it takes you to a page with an ad. you dont even have to click the ad. or maybe you do, but i didnt, because im one bad hombre. Anyways, it doesnt cost you anything, and even if it doesnt work, all you did was click a button or 2. So i say give it a shot, and let other people know about it, just in case its for real. If you like helping people and also like not spending money, this is a great integration of the 2.

So to the 4 people that read this, do what you will, but i suggest at least putting the link on your blog or something like that. why not? You know who else wouldnt put the link on their blog? Hitler. Yeah, I went there.

Howdy, everyone. Its been a while, but hold onto your asses, 'cus I'm commin' atcha live from my brand new macbook pro! snap!

Since we're on the subject of new, I should mention that my new job is awesome. I am having a blast and a half. maybe 3/4. Everyone there is awesome, too. theres so much creativity to feed off as well as just people to goof around and carry on with on the downtime. That and my work will be on TV.
Oh, and Friday night was free beer and pizza night, which was fun as well. I havent been keeping up to my end of the bargain with the whole updating my art blog. I've been a tad busy with getting into the groove of things at collideascope, but a new post will come within the week.

Anyways, thats all I have to say right now. Hope all is well with you folks.
Peace out, Homedawgs.

Back for a visit

Ah, the old livejournal. I havent been able to post for a long ass time, even though every time i come back i say its going to be a regular deal.
I've been busy, although it's paying off, because starting April 23rd, I'll be working as a rough animator at collideascope studipos in halifax as a rough animator for the show Delilah and Julius on teletoon. I'm gonna be busy as hell (moreso than now), for the next few months trying to get up to snuff and meet my quota. I'm stoked, though, and i figured i'd let you all know.

also, I made an art blog, so i'll probably be updating that more than this. I'll make an effort to post here, too. It's the exact same title as this blog, because I'm very creative.

Heres the address if youre interested:
http://drawingsthatmove.blogspot.com

I suddenly felt the need to show you these. I dont know why, but I did.
OH YEAH! They're awesome. That's why.
They're not mine, as you may have noticed from the name and website on the bottom. I recommend going to the site if fucked up comedy is your bag.

Happy New Years, everyone.

I am a blogging machine.

For the past few days, Ive actually been posting at least once a day. this rarely ever happens with me. well, the calendar thingy says I skipped the 30th, but I'm still coasting off being awake from that day, so it counts.

Did You just get shoes? I did.
Free bowling shoes? I think thats pretty sweet.
Do you have a pair? I do.
I didnt steal them, but I doubt that they were obtained legally.

In other news:

Do you know this man?

If not, you totally should. He rocks out. I'll put money on the fact that he rocks out harder than you do.

His name?
Reverend Horton Heat. Get his music. Rock out. Cream. Repeat.

If you're not a fan of rockabilly music, then don't bother. If you are, or are unfamiliar with the term, then listen to psychobilly freakout with a napkin or towel handy, because your you'll need something to clean up the remains of your melted face. I was quite pleased to se him featured in the face melters section of guitar hero 2. Very befitting. I havent seen him live, but Nick has, and what he described made me want to sell my body for tickets. Have you ever seen a man surf on an upright bass on its side while playing his guitar? you have? what about that happening while the bassist still playing? Yeah. It's pretty awesome.

Mornin', Ladies and gents.

Right off the bat, let me just say that its FUCKING FREEZING outside. Am I just being a baby about it, or is it actually cold enough to blow the face off a cow? either way, I didn't enjoy it. no snow, just cold, dead air. Bleh.

Ive been kind of edgy for the past while for some reason, but other than that It's not shaping up to be a bad day at the ol' office so far. 2 schematics to finish for a day and then nothing after that. Well, besides going through and mail and all that stuff, which isn't too bad at all. I'm super tired from a night of guitar hero at Neil's, which was fun as hell as always. not to mention the crazy illusion after finishing a song. it looked like his tv was slowly floating upwards for like 2-3 feet, and then when it would slow down and stop, but when it did it was in the same place, and you didnt see it float back down. We were totally sober, by the way; It was just a wierd illusion caused by watching that fretboard fly at you for 3 minutes straight. The lack of sleep was worth it, but when I get home, it's time for some hardcore Ben-on-nap action.

Next semester is fast approaching, and it would be nice to know what my marks are from the last one; I can't look at them because the college is too busy making up imaginary bills that I didn't pay.

In other news, there's a giant roll of bubble paper next to me, and it's so ridiculously tempting to go to town on it. But alas, It's not a good Idea.

when I get the time, I'm making a custom mood theme. Its gonna be awesome.

Oh yeah, I found out a while ago that for my work term, I might be able to get some work actually published. Sources say that'd be sweet. I don't have the specifics, But it should be a good time. I'll fill you guys in with more delicious details as they come.

I might add more to this later, but right now I'm gonna head out and log some letters and stuff.
cheers.

UPDATE! WOWZERS!
Nothing big. I just wanted to say "wowzers".
"Discontinued" by Nomo. Listen to it. Listen to it while you're trying to do something productive and you feel like you're living a montage from a quirky independent film. My life is that exciting. It goes on for 8 minutes, but I could be perfectly content with it playing for the entire time while I'm at work. Apparently I get a lot more done when I feel like its in a montage. Wierd.
